God's Clothes Closet

God's Clothes Closet is an established, ongoing, and growing mission at Christ Lutheran Church.  We have both stationary and mobile versions.

One of the basic physical needs of a person is to be clothed.  God's Clothes Closet is available to anyone in need of clothing.  We do not want someone to forgo another necessity in order to clothe themselves and/or their family.

We have lots of clean clothing.  We try to keep all sizes in stock - infant to plus size.  Our items are quickly rotated through, so we always have a different selection.

Our stationary site - our brick and mortar location - can be found on our church grounds.  475 North Ave West, Brooksville 34601.  We converted our original sanctuary into new space.  A large portion of this area is dedicated to God's Clothes Closet.  There is a great room with many of racks of clothing, shoes, and sometimes small accessories.  There is a room dedicated to small children's clothing. There is a room full on sundry items.  We also have our donation intake and the clothes sorting/folding areas.

Our mobile units - two branded enclosed trailers - can be found sprinkled through the community. We do our best to keep these outings advertised.  We actively participate with the Hernando County School system at Title I events, Open Houses, and other school activities.  We mingle with other community outreach programs in hopes to connect with those who need us.  We stop in areas of the community that might find God's Clothes Closet helpful.

All of our clothing comes from donations.  We appreciate the participation of the community - it is vital to making this mission thrive.  Donations are gladly accepted anytime God's Clothes Closet is open.  We also have an outside drop box which can be seen built in to the left hand side of the office building.
